Who we are

helenmonroe.com is the website of Helen Monroe, author of guided journals. Questions about this policy or your data: [email protected].

What we collect

  • If you sign up for the free guide or the newsletter — the email address you type into the form (and your first name, if you provide it). It goes to our email provider, MailerLite.
  • If you email us — your email address and whatever you write.
  • Automatically, while you browse — the standard technical basics any website gets: your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. The site is hosted by Cloudflare and uses Google Fonts, so those providers handle these basics on our behalf.

We do not sell anything on this website. When you buy a book, the sale happens on Amazon and we never see your payment or order details.

Cookies

This website does not set ad or tracking cookies of its own. Visitor numbers are measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without collecting data that identifies you. The third-party services we use, MailerLite, Cloudflare, and Google Fonts, may set their own cookies and process data under their own policies.

Why we use it

  • To send the free 7-day guide and — only if you opt in — the occasional newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To reply when you write to us.
  • To keep the site working and secure.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Our legal basis (GDPR)

  • Consent — for the newsletter. You opt in, and you can opt out any time with one click.
  • Legitimate interest — keeping the website secure and functional.
  • Your request — answering an email you sent us.

Where it's stored

Newsletter data is stored and processed by MailerLite, our email provider. Website hosting is provided by Cloudflare.

Your rights

In the EU, UK, or EEA (GDPR) you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how it's used, and to take your data with you (portability). You can withdraw consent at any time, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.

In California (CCPA/CPRA) you have the right to know what personal information we hold, to ask us to delete it, and to opt out of any sale — we do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.

To exercise any of these rights, just email [email protected]. We reply to every request.

How long we keep it

Newsletter data stays until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete you — whichever comes first. We remove unsubscribed addresses from active lists promptly.

Children

This website is for adults and is not directed at children under 16. If we learn that we've collected a child's data, we delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll make it obvious on the site.
